2002 Honda Rancher ES shifting problem
#1
After about 10 minutes of warming up the ES controls quit working. I can shift for the first 10 minutes or so and then POOF it quits working. Any ideas what to look for?

I have a ESP shift problem also, maybe no one is replying because there are so many threads on this . Do a search and you will find info on the ESP. I have a thread about it and I think it is a bad angle sensor ( in my case ). You may have a problem with another sensor, or low voltage , or a bad wire/connector, etc.

Is it snowy/icy there? Maybe in the 10 minute warm up, something got wet?
It might be worth while taking apart every connector on the machine to spray them out with contact cleaner, blow dry with an air compressor, and pack with diaelectric grease... Even if it doesn't solve the problem, doing so seems to prevent little electrical gremlins.

Well I have had it through some ice, snow and rain lately. I ended up unplugging the angle sensor, spraying some WD-40 all over the plug connectins and then plugging it back in. Everything works fine now. Thanks for the tips.
