Just a quick question about the grease fittings on the 850. They are standard size grease fittings aren't they? I bought a new grease gun, one of the half size ones so I can keep it on the quad. It was very tight to put on the grease fitting and I can't get the thing off. I actually had to unscrew it and leave the end on the machine so I could ride today. I couldn't even get it off with channel locks.
Take care,
Dave

Did you try to take it off by pushing it off the side, and my 700 manual, says to grease bi annually, I usually do it when I change all my fluids

sometimes new tips on grease guns really like to hold onto the grease fitting. if you grab the tip and move it so your trying ot make it into a 90 degree corner with the zerk it will usually let go

Yes they do! And that works..just be careful not to force it to hard if it is really tight 95% of the time that works but I have seen fittings break and/or pull out the threads...
Another option is to use a flat tip screwdriver, put the edge inbetween the grease gun fitting and the zirk base/A-arm or whatever and give it a twist, or better yet I like to use needle nose pliers if you have some with a small enough point, grab the base of the zirk lightly and use it as a fulcrum to pry the fitting up and off...

I grease mine after every other ride, doesnt take any time at all and it push's all the water and crud out.. Those top a arm zerks are a pain in the azz to grease,I think im going to install some 90* zerks on mine.
