Default New Spal Fan, wrong connector

I got my new spal fan today for my sportsman 800 but the connector is wrong. Contacted spal and they told me to splice my old connector onto it. How can I do this and keep it watertight? Buying from a spal retailer saved me about $150 from polaris so I guess a little bit of work is worth it.

I would cut the wires strip them, sodder them together good and then shrink tube them, I suppose you could shrink tube it twice, but it wouldn't be necessary

I used shielded type crimp connectors and used liquid tape to make it waterproof. Liquid tape is great stuff.

agree with 700. use heat shrink. get the kind that has the liquid stuff squeeze out when it shrinks. that is just as good as the original wire insulation

Just pic up weather pak connectors from a local electronic retailer/wholesaler. You simply crimp or soldier on the pins to the wires, slide over the silicone o-ring seals and push them into the plastic connector from behind. This makes a better than factory seal. Automotive manufactures use these under chassis for weather tight connections. I use this method frequently for marine as well as automotive application.
