Default 2005 wolverine will idle only

We were out riding the other day and my sons 350 wolverine was running fine then all at once it sputtered and died. Now it will idle only, it will start right up and run at idle all day but as soon as you give it throttle it sputters and dies. I've drained the fuel, thinking it cold be bad gas, I drained the carb but have not yet removed it for cleaning.
Anyone had this happen before? Where do I start looking?

Check the parking brake safety switch connection. If the parking brake is applied it will not let the machine rev or drive. It is a safety device to keep operators from pulling away with the Brake on. Make sure the P-brake is off completely and the switch is not engaged. If that does not work, unplug it completely from the harness under the plastic up front and don't forget to release the P-brake.

Hope this helps.

Ya, I messed with the parking brake for a while, I thought the same thing, my old polaris scrambler was terrible about that in the winter.
I'll recheck again.
Thanks
