Need help guys, went to ride my atv this afternoon, it started find rode around for a while then shut it off for 15 minutes, went to restart and nothing, it only "clicks" battery is nearly new? The bike only has 18hrs and ideas? Also it pulls starts fine.

 

mine does that i have 28 hrs if i hold the key in the start position in 2 seconds mine starts but that only happens in the cold funny huh?

 

almost sounds like corroded battery terminals, OR a bad battery...I would guess it is the terminals...pull the cables off the battery and clean thoroughly with a wire brush, then coat them with a good bit of dielectric grease and reconnect

 

Yes you can check terminals to the battery, but also check your crank sensor, spark and gas. Pull plug after cranking it several times, if you smell gas then you know it's not the fuel pump.
