Default 02 warrior locked engine

i was riding my warrior and the engine locked up on me i got it home and unlocked it by puting oil down the cylinder and worked the crank shaft. the bike was full of oil i was wondering why it could have locked up on me. there was alot of metal shavings in the oil basket and filter.

thats how mine blew up, its gonna need a rebuild then, the thrust washers are what is in between the rod and the crank assembly and its like a bearing for the rod and crank, i got my crank split installed a new rod and piston and cleaned all the shavings out of it real good, specially in the oil pump there was a good bit, then i put mine back together.

mmm im not sure because this was when i worked at a dealer and got discounts, i dont work there anymore but they still cut me discounts, i got a rebuilt crank trued and everything along with a new rod and it was like 150 bucks than i just installed it myself, if you got a shop to do it all it would be more for sure, its different in certain areas but id say a rough guess is like 500 bucks give or take, youd have to just go to a dealer and talk to one of them and get like a quote.

Thats what happened to the motor in my warrior, exept after I got mine free I ran it and destroyed the most of the internals. It was going to cost over $1000 to get mine fixed. Instead, I picked up a rebuilt engine off of ebay for $700.
