Hey all, have a knocking in my bendix when I try to remove the recoil cover it won't budge, I know I removed all bolts I see when I'm looking at it, has anyone ever had this problem? or am I missing bolts from the back side? any help appreciated..

 

Could be bendix frozen in cover or engine case bushing. Take a deadblow hammer and peck all around cover. When cover is off check bushings in cover and engine case where bendix rides in along with whether bendix needs replacement also?

 

Mine was stubborn to, just tap around it will work lose.
