Default LT80 Clutch belt widths

I've been reading posts and came across one that listed a 1 - 1.5 mm thinner belt. This would give more bottom end as it would sit lower in the pulley, correct me if I'm wrong. Do you lose any top end by going to the thinner belt. Also, where do you get these thinner belts? Anyone have a parts source or part number? Is this one of those Kragen moments where you just keep checking everything they have in stock?

I've never used anything other than the stock belt.
I don't think it'll make any difference in botom end.
There are better fixxes for bottom end.

Default Lt80

i just got an lt80 myself for my 8 year old. went through the entire bike and put on a new stock belt. one thing i did was take out 3 of the rollers in the variator clutch. gets the rpm's higher and no lugging in low end. it rips now.

3 rollers isn't enough, 4 is better. You'll loose top end w/only 3.

i took 3 out because leaving 4 in looked like it would be off balance due to the way the roller guides were formed. so leave 4 in the variator?
