Default Car fan in a sportsman?

I seem to remember reading where someone found a car fan that worked in our sportsman 500's. Does anyone know of one that will? The oem fan is pretty expensive so there has to be an alternative.

Any idea what model to grab one from? My fan is not working so I need to find something that would work. Also, did it bolt right up or did you have to do some fabbing to make it fit?

Going right now.Okay, I found the thread you mentioned. Didn't see anything for a 02 sp 500 fan though. I might take my fan down to Napa or Oreily's and see if I can find a universal one.

Default I also need fan

any luck finding a fan that would work. Mine on my 08 sportsman touring went because something got stuck in it and it must have overheated and now it doesn't work. I remember a site that had common numbers for switching oem parts with others and I believe it was on highlifter I think i found the link on google search but it no longer seems to be on their website. Does anybody know where that link is or what fan can be switched!?!?!

It's still a sticky on the top of highlifter, but here's the link:

Go on e-bay , look up polaris fans, look for universal parts, they sell the exact fan for around $100 bucks, might have to change the plug in from your old one.
