you could always just messure the lenth of your old set up and then go compare to the newer ones and as long as the spine is the same(betting it is)and the overall length i would think it would be fine. just a guess though.

Here is a copy paste from a another site.

i have a 96 500 and i will tell you they are very weak hense the reason they were discontinued, they were only in the 500 for 2 years 96 and some 97s and the 335s i had both, they will not last and i seem to be the only one who has upgraded these it takes some money and work, must replace with cv of your choice, and the outer hub has to be changed the the newer style for the cv to go through, also there is major clearance issue with the cv by the trans and the where the a arms bolt up nothing a hammer and grinder wont fix, i did this last summer after hundreds spent replacing the old ujoints over and over, not to mention try and find replacement parts when something other than the u joint bust, takes forever even on ebay and is extremely high i promise just switch over and save time and money, nothing has broken with 27s and two in lift in very hard riding since
souce.Reliability of u joint axles
