Outlaw 525 IRS, no front brakes. Why? Also, chain tension & master link.

two issues with our '08 Polaris 525 IRS. It rolled down a mountain about 100' and afterwards, the front brakes were soft, to the point of basically not working. When I pump them up, the master cylinder seems to get some aire bubbles. i tried bleeding them (same as i would a car, pump several times & hold, release bleeder screw, re-pump, hold & release bleeder, etc, maybe 3-4 times per side. Still, no improvement. The pads are excellent and the rotors seem fine. What else could it be? Master cylinder? Anything else?
Second issue is the master link on the chain. I can't seem to squeeze it shut enough to get the last clip on. I've broken 2 of the small clips. Just not enough of the notch on the link exposed, to set the clip in there. Can't seem to squeeze it all together. What are your tricks to get this master link to close up?
okay, 3rd item.... chain tension. On the frame the sticker says 1/8-1/4" (?????) WOW, that seems incredibly tight. What do you tension your chain at?

Not sure about the first 2 but as far as the chain tightness there is no movement from front to rear sprocket so there is no need for alot of slack. Most sport quads the rear sprocket moves up and down and in and out a little so you need more slack.

You can try using a vacuum pump to bleed the brakes, that way works great for me. The other thing is since it rolled, have you checked all the brake lines and fittings for cracks?
As for the master link, loosen the chain, put the link in, set the chain to spec.
