Default How to adjust the shocks on my son's mini hummer?

Hi,

Anybody knows how to adjust the shocks on these mini hummer atv?

It has several different height notches on the shocks where the spring seat sitting on looks like it they are adjustable.

Thank you in advance!

Turning that notched ring adjusts the shock..Proper tool would be a spanner wrench...most use a large pair of pliers to turn the ring...turning it so it increases the pressure on the spring stiffens the ride and turning it the other way softens the ride.

Thanks mywifesquad for your post!

So what is the exact procedure?

Do you have to remove the shock from the atv or I can do that while the whole assembly is still attached?

Also, do I have to compress the spring before I turn that ring?

Thanks again!

It can be done while the shock is on the atv...No compressing of spring necessary...just grab a hold of the ring with a pair of Channel Lock type pliers and give it a twist....it might be tough to move at first but once its been moved it should turn either way as it clicks into the next notch..
