Default need to know if 06 kodiac clutch is the same as 09

My brother in law has purchased a new 2009 kodiac 450with 700 kms on it. He couldnt get more than 60 kms per hour with it. brought it to the dealer and they said he swamped it and warranty wsill not cover it.... the thing is every time he went through 8-9 inches of water it would fill up. drain the clutch and go again. so now they are giving him a hard time and wont warranty anything. So here is the question..... Does a clutch from a 2005/06 fit on the 2009. i know lot of things changed but i cant see the clutch because it is the same motor......Any suggestions??

Did he have the cluch drain plug open or something? Been through alot deeper water then that, and never had any problems with my 06 Kodiak 450. I would imagine they are the same as the grizzly clutch on the 09. Only thing that really changed, was badge and front end is a little different looking. It would not be cost effective to redesign an engine if the history of it is great.

Make sure you replace the clutch cover gasket.

well went to get the bike from the dealer and the rear snorkel was off and they will still not do anything.......the sheaves seemed to get hot but we picked up the bike and it was in pieces, they said if we wanted it together it will cost two hours labour. so we took it like that andd took the clutch apart and regreased everything. so far so good.

WHAT!! This is a perfect example of a STEAL-ership! Never give them your business again.. In fact I would call Yamaha directly and report the dealer! I did that in my area.... and well that STEAL-ership called me to apoligize and gave me a $50 coupon for parts/ accesories. I used to be never went back to those clowns!
