Red face Polaris 500 Sportsman Transmission Fluid 'Amount needed'

I have (2004)Polaris 500 Sportsman and am changing fluids on transmission, front gear case and rear gear case. I need to know what is proper fill amount please, if anyone could be of help I would appreciate it greatly.

i suggest going to the polaris web page and you should be able to down load a owners manual for your bike w/ the correct info if some one doesnt give you the correct amouts(which i'm sure they will). good luck.

I don't know about the sportsman, but our 2000 trail boss and 2003 trail blazer transmissions only took 11.3 oz according to the manual.

I know that's not the model you have, but didn't want you to think it took a gallon or something like that either.

My 2005 SP500 & 2005 SP 400 has a fill plug on the left side near the back tire and I fill until it starts to run out. I think it's about 1/2 quart, but I do spill some.
