Unhappy Sportsman Transmission Disassembly

I wanted to replace the gasket (sealant) and unfortunately removed the LH transmission case side first which pulled the shift drum so i was not able to mark the detent gear and shift lockout disc. Is there a way to put the gears back together without those marks? thanks

The detent is fairly easy to see how it works,BUT since you have removed the gears a manual is really recommended since it will show you the proper position for the gears. Normally the gears alignment is supposed to be marked before removing, but since its already done, its hard to explain re alignment. In other words a pictures worth a thousand words! Good luck opt
