Default 2004 Recon, firing but will not crank

I have a 2004 recon I parked it in my barn about two months ago and it was running fine at that time. I went to crank it and the battery was dead so I replaced the battery. It would turn over but not start. I also changed the spark plug. It is firing, but will not start. Any suggestions as to what may be wrong. I do not know where the pull start is located, so I have not tried that.

First you could drain the carb in case there is a piece of junk in it but you most likely need to clean the carb itself.

I have not owned a Recon in a decade, but as I recall the recoil starter is at the rear. There will be a piece of plastic that covers the handle. Just go to the back of the engine and look around and you should find it pretty quick.

Before using the recoil, be sure the key is on and you are in neutral, and the kill switch is off. I pulled the starter on the kids 90 for a minute or two the other day, before I realized the kill switch was on.
