Default Taller Handle Bars

Looking to raise my bar hight on my 420 rancher. I find myself bending over too much when riding and in tight mountain riding I do alot of standing-up. I have adjusted the bars to different position and can't seem to find a comfy spot.

Have thought about a riser block, but would prefer maybe a taller bar. Any suggestion on where I should start looking.

Do the cables on the 420 have enough slack to go 1 or 2" taller?

Thanks

While there are a hundred different bends for sport quad/dirt bike bars, I have always found it difficult to find bars for utilities. I would take all the measurements from your stock bars in detatil, then go to some place like RockyMountain and see of I could find a suitable bend.

Thanks Recon

Will check them out. Would the bars from a foreman or rincon be taller? Anybody know.
Thanks

Manufacturers for the most part put cheapie, heavy steel bars on all but the high end MX models. You can give the Foreman and Rincon a try, but I bet they are made of nasty steel.

You might also want to look for some places that sepecialize in aftermarket utility parts. I am usually looking to make my bars lower, so I can get away with a set of sport quad bars.

Decided to go the cheaper route for now and see if there is enough slack in the cables and brake lines to go higher and how much.

Ordered just a 1" plain riser block from Rox Risers. That is what I have on my snowmobile. If that works out to be the hight I need and there is enough slack in all the cables, I will then look at a higher pivot riser or go for a good heavy bar if I can find one. Figured this would be the safe and cheapest mode to go for now. If it doesn't work out, I can always use it on another snowmobile.

Thanks

The wife has an Arctic Cat 366 and it seems to have a really long set of bars they would be ape hangers on a Honda, and i noticed that some Grizzlys have huge bars on them too. I hope that the riser will help you out with what you need

FYI

Put on a 1 1/4 inch riser-block from Rox Risers on my 420 Rancher. That is all the 420 cables will stand. Main problem is the front brake line. However at 1 1/4 inch every thing worked prefect. This made a way better position for standing and now I am not bent over whether standing or sitting.
This is a great addition.

If interested, go to Rox Risers and order the riser-block for the TRX450. Same bolt pattern.
