I had a slow light roll for the first time, my 2007 sportsman 800 x2 tipped onto its side then upside down. It was still running, I shut it off right away. I was able to flip it over onto its side pretty quickly. It took me a few minutes and about 4 tries to get it from its side back on to its wheels (I know it weighs about 850lb or so with the extras on it, but damb that is hard to get flipped back by yourself!)

Once upright it started right up and ran fine
There is a little bit of what looks like oil that ran out of somewhere onto the side plastic shroud.

After parking it, it almost sounds like the motor has a slight knock when running at idle.

Could this have caused any damage?

Is there anything I need to do, or check?

Check your fluids and everything should be fine. Been upside down myself on a few occasions.

 

Check air filter too, could have oil in it.

 

After I rolled mine a couple years ago I changed all the fluids.....You definitely have oil in the airbox too.....
