Drive Chain Jetmoto 150
#1
I think its drive chain time for the 150 as I'm about out of adjustment on it. I believe this is a 520 standard chain right?? Not the heavy duty version?
So what options does one have? Same cheap style of chain, a better quality chain, the heavy duty 520 chain, or going with "O" ring style 520 chain?

I started a parts directory for JM quads. At least for a 2007 150 the chain is a 428, yes, fairly odd but that is what fits.
530 goes on 200.
I'd get one at Cycle Gear if you have one nearby. Just get a standard quality chain. You can spend more but I feel it is overkill. Just about any replacement part you buy from a cycle shop is going to be way way better than what is on the china quad and outlast the other stuff. Save the money buy more locktite and extra bolts.
The trailing arm looks strong and the actual arm is fine. I had a big problem with the internal bushings and they wore out causing the swing arm to move and bang against the engine. There is a long sorid story posted here somewhere about the chain reaction it caused but all is good now.

You may have those chain #'s reversed.

I went and looked at mine again and I was wrong... it has 530 stamped on it! I know the 250 runs a smaller chain do to clearance up by the drive drive sprocket I was told. I noticed that the 150 had a heavier chain then the 250 when I bought the thing.
