My dad's got 99(?) 400 2 cycle sportsman, and his 4wd stopped working last week when we got hit with the snow. So he resorted to his uncles tractor with no chains b/c the ones that came with it are to small and he then proceeded to get that stuck. I really want to get his wheeler goin again to save us both alot of work! LOL!!
So any idea's would be greatly appreciated, I told him to check wires at hubs and hub fluid. I know these things work through magnatism, do the plates inside go bad? Could the fluid just need to be changed completely? Thanks in advance!

 

it could be one of the things you mentioned. start by seeing if the power is even getting thru the awd switch. make sur the bulb isn't blown if the light isn't working and go from there. imo

 

make sure there is no play in the hubs,play bad.....
