Default Starts, idles, then falls flat

When I bought the quad I was told it needed a top end. I replaced the parts but found it was just lean because there was no air cleaner.
It would start and run but had not power.

When I got the stock air cleaner it seemed to fix it. It wasn't 100% but it was fine for the back yard.

I put it in storage a few months ago. I drained the gas and ran it dry.

I took it out the other day and I am having the same problem.
It will start and idle but it doesnt want to move.

Actually if I start it and go it will go about 20 before dying out. If I let off the throttle and try again it will go about 5 feet.

How can I tell if it is the carb or the CVT? without taking the CVT covers off.
I did that the last time and they seemed fine.

Given it starts and idles, I'd be inclined to think it a carburetor issue. A plugged jet or the likes. I'd remove, disassemble and clean the carb.

As long as your not using the stock spark plug.. I think the carb is dirty too..

I will pull the carb and take a look.

By stock spark plug do you mean the original that came with the quad or the stock replacement.

More than likely wont even see what is plugging the jets.. you will need to remove both the main and pilot jet and make sure you can see light thru them. the pilot jet has a less than 1/64 dia hole in it...doesnt take much to plug it or even restrict flow. spray carb cleaner and or compressed air thru them and the holes in the carb...

I will give it a shot. Any idea where I can find what size main it should have?

I did spend a few minutes tinkering with it tonight. It is acting like the carb is not getting enough fuel. It would start run for a minute than stall.
