Hey guys, need a little help here. Cant get the starter cord assembly out to remove starter bolts. Any ideas?

 

don't know about yours but mine had a thin coat of some kind of sealer on it. was not easy to get off. might need to give the side of the recoil assy a whack or two with a dead blow hammer or rubber mallet my 300 engine had a fastener at the 6 o clock area of the housing that you cant see. got to feel around with a finger. ahem don't stick a Philips screw driver in one of the bolt holes and try to pry it off don't ask how i know .lol
