Default 2002 or 2003 Polaris?

So I've posted a couple times here about my "2002" Polaris Sportsman 700 Vtwin. I am currently replacing the rear axles. So I order the new rear axles, get the old ones torn out and go to put the new ones in, and much to my surprise they did not fit... too short. My VIN says its a 2002. Well guess what, I guess in some of the later 2002 models they started putting 2003 parts in.

Any one else had/have this problem? It's nice because the 2003 parts are far less expensive than the 2002, but sure makes it hard to order parts since there is a difference in 2002 and 2003 parts.

Exclamation

No offense, but to be clear, I think you mean "700twin". It's called a "parallell twin" meaning both cylinders are in line with one another and not a "V" like on a Harley. Good luck with your problem.
