Flooded 93 350L

I just recently bought this bike and it has run flawlessly. I let it set in the garage for two weeks and when I went in the garage tonight the whole place smelled like gas. I tried to start the bike and it only backfires and pops. Everytime that I pull the sparkplug out it is wet with gas. Is it possible that the crankcase is partially filled? If so is there any way to get it out?

OK. I got the case dried out and replaced the spark plug. Still won't start. It turns over and it spits and sputters and will backfire. If you put gas in the spark plug hole it will start and cut right back off.
What I have done:
1) cleaned and rebuilt carb (I had the kit and it needed it anyway)
2) checked compression (100psi)
3) Checked spark with spark gap tester and have strong blue spark
4) removed pull start and flywheel is tight
5) removed belt cover and smelled gas
I am assuming that I probably need crank seals from the gas smell in the belt cover but would like other opinions (I am going to get a clutch puller so that I can look at the seal). Also, what is the general opinion of the compression? I would rather put off a rebuild until this winter if possible.
Thanks in advance.
