Default Toasted motor on sons China go kart....

My sons got a SunL 110cc kart - Ive never been that impressed with it. Weve had a few China wheelers and they were OK....this thing has been a pain in my *** since we bought it.

However the one thing it did well was run......so when it wouldnt start this year and a compression check showed motor issues I thought for sure I would get to junk this turd.....

Took it apart and the ring was paper thing.....and it need an exhaust valve to.

Good....its junk, no more hassles. I was thinking about welding a tube to the bottom of it and spearing it in the ground so the kids could play on it.

Then I priced parts.

new piston, rings, valves and full gasket set - $48 shipped.

sigh......guess I will fix it after all.

These things may not be the most durable but dang if they arent cheap to fix.....

Dang that is cheap Aaron. I suppose worst case scenario if the overall machine condition is good you can mail order a whole new 110cc for $200! It's gotta be the only thing in the world that seems to be getting cheaper as time goes on.

That is another thing I like about the chinese ATV. Even when things break, they always do. So far I was always able to find a replacement part quickly and at a low price.

Chinese ATV's are really cheap to fix. My 250 motor was 400$ with gearbox
