I JUST BOUGHT MY FIRST NEW QUAD...4X2 RANCHER ES.....LOVE IT SO FAR. WHEN I BOUGHT IT I HAD TWO DIFFERENT SALES PEOPLE TELL ME DIFFERENT INSTRUCTIONS ON PROPER BREAK IN. ONE SAID GO EASY AND VARY YOUR SPEEDS FOR THE FIRST COUPLE TANKS. THE OTHER SAID RIDE HOW YOUR GONNA RIDE. IF ANYONE CAN TELL ME WHAT IS BEST, I WOULD APPRICIATE IT.

What i have always done is try to keep it under 3/4 throttle for short bursts the 1st 10 miles or so and then next 10 you can go to full throttle for short bursts 2-3 secs ..ride as you would normal then and be sure to change the oil no more than 100 miles or 10 hrs.

The frist guy is right, treat it easy and dont hammer on it until at least 100 miles. But ya know what, After only 3 hours on my new Rubicon I am finding myself floored, its hard to stay slow! I hope I didnt hurt anything up on the sled trails today floored miles on end with only 40 miles total on the quad...ouch
