Default 03 Sportsman 400 Transmission

Picked up a 03 Sportsman 400 w a busted output shaft. Can get a used transmission for 350 delivered. Easier to repair or replace the transmission? Very good w a wrench so that not an issue. Just want to waste a lot of time repairing if it going to be a hassle. Any help appreciated.

Good price I have seen them on Ebay for $700 Used. Make sure you put "Chain Case oil " in it not motor oil.

They are very simple and easy to repair. Also synthetic motor oil works fine. As good or better than the Polaris crap.

Update on transmission. I believe the rear internal chain is broke. Going to pull it out this weekend. Looks simple enough to split and replace the chain. Thanks for the help!
