Hello I'm new to theforum thing but I'm at wits end! I bought my wife a bear tracker and she loved it, right up to the point the throttle quit working. When I did a little investigation fount the cable was broken at the carb end. Bought new cable and installed, everything went smoothly until I went to attach new cable at the carb end and fount the small spring that keeps tension to close throttle was virtually gone. It crumbled away. Though I could order new one and install, this is where my problem is. Yamaha told me I cannot but the spring alone, I have to buy a whole new carb! the bike runs great, I don't need a new card I just need the small spring that was installed. there was nothing left of the spring so I can't go to parts store. can anyone help with this.....PLEASE.

Everything I am showing on the parts diagram OEM Parts Yamaha BEAR TRACKER 2WD YFM250XHP BEAR TRACKER REALTREE (YFM250XHP) 2002 CARBURETOR - Cheap Cycle Parts
is showing the same thing. The only thing I would suggest is to pull the spring off and either match it up with another one or rig up a spring that will work of another sort
