Default 98 sp 500 starter solonoid problems

I have a 98 SP 500 with just over 17K miles and I have replaced both of these parts in the past. Right now I am at a loss as to Y I can't seem to use my electric start. I figured it was the starter so I replaced it with an ebay aftermarket, hit the switch and I get the "click" from the solnd. Check solnoid it is junk so I replace the solonoid with a polaris stock part off ebay and when I hit the switch I get nothing. I check the new solonoid and it is a POS. SO I replace the solonoid taken from my wifes that I know works -- STILL NOTHING! SO I jumped the starter, I got nothing again but some arcing. Do I need to replace the starter or is there a dam fuse i don't know about?? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

if you have power going to your starter and it will not turn over, then i would say it is junk. test fo power and it should tell ya. imo

This solenoid noise,is it a one solid click or is it a series of clicks,if a series of clicks then the battery is low on charge or else a bad connection either at the battery post or the frame.

The vast majority of the time the only thing wrong with the starters are the brushes. It is a $30 part. Fix it yourself.

usually the solenoid does not go bad and it's usually the starter as mentioned from getting wet/dirty. imo

Also for the solenoid a $10 Ford part works just fine. No need to give Polaris $60
