hey guys, havent been on here in a while but its good to be back! I recently purchased a twist throttle kit with a cable from motion pro for my 1987 warrior (or so i thought). When i read the box for compatible ATV's it said that it is compatible with YFM350er, which i believe is a trail model. It also says compatible with 1996-2005 yfm350fx which i think is the warrior, but not my year. I am away at school right now and wont have a chance to try it for a while so i figured i would ask you guys if it will work before i even take it out of the box. who can help me out here?

well, it fit.

 

I run a motion pro twist on my raptor 250, first off the factory cable sleeve was to big for the throttle housing so our yamaha shop ordered me the motion pro cable for their throttle/quad application, 2nd the cable they sent me fit the throttle but was to short at the carb. end, (mikuni 29mm) so i was bound and determinend to make it work. i ended up removing the steel elbow that the cable goes through at the carb. so the length would be proper. since then i have put a (mikuni 30mm round slide carb.) on it, and it worked out easier since it's a piston carb. where the cable hooks directly to the slide... i think the raptor 350 and warrior are close in set up... hope it's easier for you... old lesson (some thing UNIVERSAL... UNIVERSALY fits nothing)...lol
