2011 Sportsman XP Touring Engine Oil
Hi All,
Well...I was able to sell my '09 SP XP 850 in just over 7 days from first posting it. I got my asking offer (which was a fair deal for both)...and now setting my sights on 2 new machines Sportsmans!
I'm going after 2 2011 SP XP Touring models. One 850 engine...and the other with the 550. Here's my question...
1. Do both machines take the same type of engine oil?
I'm just curious...and trying to educate myself on the 550 engine.

...just came across this info, but the 550 and 850 use different Oil filters...
Oil Filter 550 = OEM Part #3089996
Oil Filter 850 = OEM Part #2520799
Just an FYI...for those interested...

Yes it is a different part number but they are the same filter. When you buy a oil change kit it is good for the 550 and 850.
