i have a eton 90 4stroke. you have to turn the man. choke on to even keep it running then it breaks up when give it gas. as soon as you turn the choke off it wants to cut off give it gas and it breaks up even turned up the idle screw but nothing. i took carb off cleaned it twice now everything fac settings this thing is brand new. guy bought for his kid and the kid was scared of it and never rode it, let sit for 6 months with out start n it then i got it. no mods done to it nothing just will not stay idle n without the choke on and doesnt sound like it has much power. im at my end with this thing been working on it now two day x mas is here. any help would greatly app. very much.

ps it has good compresion "110" and new spark plug took fuel filter off to make sure was not it. air filter is good also.
it sounds like rev lim cut n on when u give gas to it.
think jets were 100 32 and clip is in middle lik ei said this thing is 100 % factory
please give me some advise

 

I'm not very carb savvy however when I had that problem it was because too much air was getting into the mixture via a worn gasket. You mentioned how you took the carb off & cleaned it did you replace or inspect the gasket between carb/intake? Just an idea. this may or may not be your problem but worth checking & making a new gasket before buying jets and such.

I agree, check for intake leaks.
I'm wondering if a valve is stuck.
I just got a machine in that had mice nests/nuts everywhere. Maybe a plugged pipe or yuck effecting the spark.
