'09 Polaris 850 XP : replacement brake pads
#1
At 900 miles my front brake pads are shot and the rears and not far behind. Are the stock Gempco brake pads sintered metal, and if not, am I OK to replace the stock pads with sintered metal pads? A listing for EBC Sintered Pads states "Never use sintered metal brake pads in bikes originally equipped with non-sintered brake pads", so I wanted to check on that before I order.
I'm looking for the best overall brake pads (performance/longevity) for a '09 Polaris XP 850. Recommendations greatly appreciated!

I have used EBC SV Series Severe Duty Pads and they last much longer then my stock ones and do not hurt the rotors, its even stated in there ad. EBC SV Series Severe Duty Pads Product Index | EBC Brakes
Being higher in density these pads last longer than anything else in the EBC family and will stand up against any pad you can buy. They are also very low in rotor abrasion and will not damage your brake rotor.

Our shop sold more ebc pads for street bikes, dirt bikes than any other brand. We also sold about as many for Polaris as we did for oem pads! They're the best in my opinion, and I even have a set of pads and rear ebc brake shoes on my old Honda! A lot better than the ones that came on it! OPT
