85 200s give it gas rev and will not come down

Thumbs up 85 200s give it gas rev and will not come down

well i got it like to day a go and the guy sed the values was to tight idk but i rev it and it will not comw down idle scrow its not to far in idk helpp

Check the carb slide for sticking,first thing I can think of. May need to be cleaned up?

yah its all clean idk it dont wont to idle and if it douse its to high

Sounds like its sucking air, maybe a cracked intake boot or something of the sort. Time for an either test sounds like to me

Did you check to see if throttle cable is twisted or Kinked.

make sure the carb slide is in the correct way.

I had the same issue with mine last summer after I rebuilt the carb and turns out I had the slide in wrong. It's easy to do and a simple 180 degree turn of the slide and I was back in business.
