650 Xmr Outlander reverse override

Default 650 Xmr Outlander reverse override

Hi all, I'm about to take possession of my new 650 Outlander Xmr and there are a few things I want to do.
First: bypass the "Reverse Override" button.
Second: install a winch on the front just in front of the radiator which is now located on the front rack.

So my questions are: Does anyone know what I need to do to bybass the reverse override button? From what I have heard they have made it more difficult than it was on past models, is this true?

The quad comes "Pre-Wired" for a winch does this include the power cables or just the control cables?

are you planning on racing your can-am in reverse?
why the need to remove the rear limiter?
to be the fastest one to back off a trailer? lol
ever turn the wheel sharply while going fast in reverse? it's not pretty.

Hi Beergut, you obviously have not ridden in extreme mud and have needed to operate your winch (I have one on the back of my quad as well as the front) plus throttle plus push the reverse override. This all takes 3 hands and I only have 2. With all of my CVT quads I have bypassed the reverse override and for me it is the only way to go.
As for your comments to my question, if you have nothing constructive to say, well you know the rest.

nope- no mud riding here.

I only have about a half dozen albums dedicated to mudding and water holes!

never had a single issue using the reverse override in mud- or using a winch to get unstuck. maybe you're doing it wrong.

and... I'll decide whether or not what I have to say is constructive
or would you prefer I clear my response with you first?

If you don't get a good answer you might try can-am ATV Forums - can-amtalk.com Guys over there have done every modification imaginable. I'm not familiar with the newer G2 Outlanders but I wouldn't recommend mounting the front winch up that high on the Outlander. Not so much frame up there.

Can anyone help with these questions????

was just having fun- no hard feelings...

reverse over ride:

as for the pre-wired winch, from what I've read- pre-wired basically means there's a switched 12v accessory wire somewhere to trigger your winch relay- but you'll need the 10 gage wiring between the relay / battery and between the relay and winch.
