Default 01 beartracker problem

my beartracker ran for about 1 min and died so far I've checked spark, put fresh fuel in,checked timing, cleaned the carb ,primed it,all this happened after replacing the battery with a smaller one it,s still 12 volts it,s new just for a smaller machine.it idled for 1min then died like it just was shut off not a pop after. this is the first time I've ever seen anything like this . everything looks good

I suspect you're not getting fuel? Pour a few drops in the sparkplug hole, reinstall the plug and then see if it cranks. If it does, then you're not getting fuel through the carb or not getting fuel to the carb. If that's the case, it could be a stopped up pilot jet, stopped up float needle/seat, or a stopped up fuel petcock.

the only other thing you haven't mentioned is checking compression, but 4 stroke motors usually don't lose compression that easily.

thanks for the reply I cleaned the carb ,replaced the fuel, and primed it a few times I also tried the choke until it ran out the carb replaced the plug. the compression I'm not sure if I cracked a ring my compression tester don't fit the small plug hole but I tried putting my finger over the hole and cranked it leaked around no matter how hard I tried to seal it. and when I use the rewind it feels good.im really stumped. unless the muffler is pluged I didn't check that

What's it mean to "prime" it?
