Clutch trouble

Default Clutch trouble

I have a 2002 blaster and I am having clutch trouble when I squeeze the clutch in and put the bike in gear the bike still moves I mean I have some clutch but not all of it. The bike moves just enough to stall when I stop and the clutch cable is adjusted all the way out so my ? Is do I need a new clutch or is their some kind of inside adjustment. PLEASE HELP ME

If this is something that just started happening then the cable is probably stretched, it never hurts to install a new cable anyway if your is old. The clutch basket could have grooves worn in it also. If that's what it is, you could buy a new basket or just remove yours and file the grooves down.

I just got the bike and replaced the clutch cable I thought the cable might be stretched so I put a new one on and the new one is all the way out it seems like if I could get just a little more adjustment out of it. It would be fine

I'm not sure about Blasters, but there may be some adjustment down at the motor end of the cable. More than likely the basket is grooved where the clutch plates ride. No big deal, just file the grooves down smooth.

Thanks for the help I will put new clutches and plates and springs and file down any groves I see AGIAN. THANKS FOR THE HELP

Here's a Youtube video, not the best one but you get the idea or you can do a Youtube search, there are a few videos on how to do this.
