Default 2001 Yamaha Bear Tracker Tire Question

I am new to ATv's and 1st post so please bear with me.

I picked up a 01 Bear Tracker 250 to use on my lease in central texas. Terrain has no mud, just hills and hard limestone. I need new tires for the bear tracker and was given a free set of tires and wheels from a Grizzly, OEM take offs. They are 25x8x12 & 25x10x12. Both have the same lug patter so they will fit I was just wondering if the Bear Tracker can handel them. The weight seems not much more than the stock tires 22x7x10 & 22x10x10...around 4 pounds each.

I have found mixed reviews via the forum and web but they are mud related. Will the bear tracker be able to handel this setup?

Tracker is stock with no mods lifts etc. Thanks in advance.

Well your off on your weight, 22 tires weigh in at 15lbs each. ITP AT 489. But no matter your looking 4lbs difference if that's what you meant.

Make sure your rear off Sets are the same not just bolt pattern ATV Tire and Wheel Application Chart : ATV Tires Free Shipping : ATV Wheels : Mud-Throwers.com I put 26" wheels from a 660 grizzly onto my 350 grizzly just to see if the 350 could turn them easily (They did) but the rear rim "off set" were very different on the two ATVs.

My guess is a 250 will turn light 25" 2ply tires easily. My 350 turns heavier 6ply 26" mud tires easy enough (Maxxis Zillas).

TLC, thanks for the help. Turns out the front fit, but had to adjust the fender brackets back some to prevent rubbing. The rear did not. Offset way off and would rub the break cable and muffler. With the 25 on front it did level it out . Did not notice a difference in handeling or general use around the ranch.
