Default 07 sportsman 500x2 running issues

well where do I start?? I have been having problems with this unit wanting to run almost like it keeps running out of gas or injector is messing up ? If I leave it in my heated garage it seems to be ok most of the time. the problem is when trying to start it will start and die right away or a minute later then start and die for a while sometimes will just turnover not starting then bam it lights and dies. the whole time it will not run the check engine light is off then after ten minutes or so of starting and die routine the check engine light comes on and unit runs just fine. if started in heated barn the check engine light usually comes on as soon as key is turned to start and it will run just fine all revolves around weather the light come on or not. sometimes when no light it will run as long as you stay on the gas but as soon as you stop or take thumb off throttle it dies and does the start and die deal until you can get it to run long enough for the engine light to come on then its good to go for 8 hours. I pulled the codes they are 22, 45, 55 58 most appear to be ground issues which where addressed but still no better. I have replaced the pdm twice as they are junk and am thinking it may be the ecu this time as it is a run gas fuel issue?? any ideas let me hear them before it goes up in flames!!! LOL

90 percent of problems on efi as far as idling ,running good is wiring related ,not the sensors themselves. You might pull up the map sensor and check the rubber grommet for any tears, plus read the "sticky" post in the expert section on wiring problems. Affects all model efi machines. Item # 9.

Plus check the thin wiring from the map sensor and also the tps sensor wiring that runs down to the harness for any bare spots,or soft feeling wires that may have broken internally.Plus wires can pull out from the connectors themselves. In the sticky post it references heavier duty repair kits than what Polaris offers.Only The Best

don't believe its a wiring issue. has to be computer or sensor related as it just all of the sudden runs right just has to have the check engine light lit when it does. have used this machine half the winter to plow snow commercially and after about 15 minutes of starting and stalling when cold it runs fine. like I said when in warm garage it starts up and check engine light comes on immediately and runs with no problem. In fact I try to leave it in heated garage when I no snow is coming and load it up and leave running all night plowing. and I have check all wires and connectors for breaks and corrosion also where is this sticky #9 in wiring problems?? I do not see anything like that in the expert section

In that case it's worth the cost to have it put on Digital Wrench rather than throwing parts at it.Can save you money in the long run especially if they just find a short and not a module or sensor problem.

I would listen to OPT and start troubleshooting wires with a schematic, multimeter and attention to detail. The codes that you're computer has stored all have one common theme which is a short circuit to the ground or the battery.

22 TPS Circuit: Open and Short To Ground
22 TPS Circuit: Short To Battery

45 Barometric Pressure Sensor: Circuit Low Input

55 Diagnostic Lamp: Open Load
55 Diagnostic Lamp: Short Circuit to Ground
55 Diagnostic Lamp: Short Circuit To Battery

58 Cooling Fan: Open Load
58 Cooling Fan: Short Circuit to Ground
58 Cooling Fan: Short Circuit to Battery

If you have done any work around any of the sensors I would start checking the wiring there first. You could also do a search on the internet to see if this is a problem that other people have had with those codes and where they found the problem area to be at. Troubleshooting electrical problems can be time consuming, but usually once you find the problem it's a simple fix.
