Default Buying a 2nd hand quad in a month 1/2

So I have narrowed my choice of sport quads Down to

2008-2009 kfx450r

2007-2009 ltr450

I like them both I won't ride at any tracks I live in Canada alberta were there is an abundant amount of trails mud dirt and every thing in between

I know the Kawi has reverse which is a very big deal but it does not handsome as good as the ltr I hear. I will be doing some jumps and lots of mountain and trail as well as field riding not so much mud tho

My price range for both is $4200 max for both

I want to know

What one is best for my style of riding and still has good power also I will add a pip chip and air box.I don't like how the ltr has no reverse but these quads turn on a dime let me know what you think.

I will never again own another atv without reverse. Yes, I am lazy and spoiled.

Make that another vote for the KFX can't live without reverse after having it

I know when the kfx450 first came out, the biggest complaint was the seat being uncomfortable. Don't know if that's true or not, but if you have the chance to sit on both that might be a good idea.

I agree, not having reverse is a pita, but if the reward is an actual pita it might not be worth it.

All the 450 sports atvs are pretty well equal in power so get the reverse "If" they are in the same condition.

Condition trumps all when buying used.

I can,t stand a snowmobile or even a small boat and outboard without reverse.

I have 3700 miles on my ATV and I bet 700 of those miles are from reverse ,that's how handy it is.
