Still the same old dependable 500 Sportsman if reasonably taken care of.They're asking about 300 UNDER dealer retail,BUT you can throw the book away if it's in good shape.Kelley Blue Book Think they still have the 5 year on the 570,not sure on the others, plus warranty is just insurance. You may or may not ever need it,but good to have if something major happens. Belts, suspension parts or other common wear items aren't covered by most plans.

Sometimes in spite of what men think, women can make a case for common sense..I think this is one of them..

Vehicle Reviews for 2009 Polaris Sportsman® 500 H.O. seems like more owner like them than don't.

I have a 2001 and never had any major problems. The warranties up here in Canada are only 6 months long.

Only issue I have had with my 06 500EFI was I got water in the pull cord case and shorted out the stator. Took a while to discover that and was frustrating the hell out of me. Otherwise the quad has been rock solid for me. The stator replacement cost me $110 off ebay and I did the work myself. After 285hours on the motor valves were still on spec

The trick I do for that is I silicone seal the pull rope handle in place since its only for back up anyways.

Yup. That was my folly actually! I didn't ensure it was down tight over the nipple. The machine in and of itself has performed flawlessly.
