Default Wilderness Trail 250 2005 CDI

Hello, new to this forum.... Mine has been running great for quite a few years. I have no spark. The coil appears to not be open so I suspect the CDI. All the prints on here show a 6-pin, two-plug CDI. Mine is a Jianshe JT0511. Red, single plug on it. The coil has a black(ground) and an orange wire on it. Not found on the electrical print. Is this some weird version? I can't find one of these CDI's anywhere. Web or eBay. Been looking for two weeks. Can I convert to two plug? I don't have the correct print so I would have to trace all the wires through the harness....painful. I have pics but not sure how to attach.

You eliminated the Stator as the problem?

Didn't look at the stator. Not totally sure yet how to test it since my print, and the one that is widely shared on the net, doesn't match up with wire colors. I'm royally confused now. I thought the CDI was the box up by the battery. Up in that location is the starter relay too. Looking on the side of the ATV for the stator wires I see the regulator(heat sink thing) and then just next to it I think is the real CDI. At least it has the orange wire coming off of it that I think is the same on the coil for the spark plug. I really wish I had a good schematic. I am very familiar with electronics and meter usage.

Just watched a few videos on youtube testing a stator. It's good. tested between all three wires with an ohm meter and also in relationship to ground. No shorts.

So I got in a new CDI and still no spark. Grrrrr..... Does anyone have an accurate print for this thing? I have continuity on the coil too. At a loss now.

You probably checked this but what about the spark plug, plug boot and wire from coil?

...also, are you pushing down on the floor rear brake pedal as you are cranking over?

Well I found it. A while ago the starter wouldn't even run. I figured the red kill switch may be at fault. So I opened it and sure enough one of the wires was off. So not having a soldering iron I just wirenutted the two together figuring I solder them back on when I get back home. Doing this the start ran but zero spark. That is where I was posting here. Turns out disconnecting the wires I was able to get spark and still get the starter to run. Huh? Only thing I can think is the push to start switch may have had an issue and me disassembling it to get at the kill switch freed something up. I since have resoldered the kill switch and the start still runs. Seems the kill switch only cuts power to the cdi and not the starter. Up and running again. Well at least I have a spare cdi now....
