I have a 1996 Honda 300ex with a K&N air filter, FMF Q4 pipe, new chain and sprockets, and new Works shocks, front and rear. I recently blew it up and won't be able to get the money out of it that I have into it. what should I do to make it the best for racing.

 

Move up into a 400ex. Your spending money on a sub compact to try out for Nascar. Go big or go home.....applies to all forms of racing if you expect to win.

 

Sounds you already have a good set up, same on buddy's 300ex here.

 

How old are you? What type of racing are you going to participate in? Budget for repairs and races?

From experience, unless you are class limited to the 300ex, if you want to be competitive you need a new machine.
