I have a 98 454 with a warn winch and like most I mounted the switch on the left hand ide of the front rack. The problem I'm having is everytime I have to rmove the rack and plastic I have to disconnect the winch because the cables come throught he rack. The connections on the switch are getting wrecked and I figure one more time and its time for a new switch. Does anybody have any Ideas or know of some sort of waterproof quick connectors that I could install on the wires so I dont have to remove them from the swict itself?

Ok I'll bite, why are you having to take off the rack and plastic. Sounds like alot of work?
Warn has an upgrade for the 2000 winch to a 2500 winch for $179 you get a soleniod and remote switch that you can install like the accessorie plug and throw your switch in the jocky box like you would in a truck

I have a Warn 2000 and made a clamp on bracket to mount it right on my handlebars on the left side. Works much better for plowing snow....

Upgrade???? $179.00????

Hell, I'd just go buy another Superwinch 1500 for $139. and then use the leftover $40 to take the wife to dinner.

Ya, fix the switch with some covered spade connecter to make the harness. Buy the wife some 589's and have her fix a lunch while you put them on. Then go wheelin
