Bad starter

Well I got the my 4-wheeler running, but the starter wont turn at all.Brand new battery, yes it works becuase the lights and everything work when the 4-wheeler isnt on.I was just wondering can you rebuild the starter on a trail blazer.If so where is it located at(Ive looked and cant find it anywhere.Also if you cant rebuild it how much is a new one?

It's on the bottom of the motor. Yes, it can be rebuilt but make sure to take it and the gear drive that engages the flywheel. It's usually the reason the starters go bad in the first place.

Its right under the skid plate. Its a bear to get out but once it is out the only thing you usually need is a brush assembly, I paid $42.00 bucks for mine at the dealer. Good Luck

I feel your pain because I just had to rebuild mine. It is a bear to remove due to the back four bolt holding the starter. I used a long 10mm wrench with a 'customized' bend to get the rear bolts out. I put three back in but left the impossible bolt out. I also sealed my starter with silicone around the seals and on the bolts. It will cost around $50 for the brush set and the seals.
