Default mikuni 34216 carb

1999 arctic cat atv mikuni BST34, rebuilt carb with new kit, checked float height .5 inch runs but backfires, checked exhaust valves clearance good set air fuel mixture 2 turns out plus or minus 1/4 carb goes on 1999 arctic cat atv. Need some advice please

Yes appears it uses the same BST34 carb as Polaris does. Backfiring could be because of a lean condition. If you rebuilt it make sure the kit jets were the same as the oem jets.Plus check the intake manifold for cracks that could be sucking air. Look especially under the carb clamp that could be hiding splits. If the intake manifold is ok you may need to do a leak down test or even check into any possible electrical problem that could be causing this.That's where the manual comes in handy if you don't already have one.https://www.tradebit.com/filedetail....al-repair-1999
