Default Shifter linkage

I been having a hard time shifting into low gear, shifter seemed very hard to go in,almost have to force it sometimes and then sometimes it would pop out into neutral. So i tried to adjust linkage and my High/Rev was seized and snapped of& at threads, might know a guy that could weld it back together maybe. Anyone have one laying around that wants to sell it.
Also opened up the reservoirs and can’t figure out where the 3rd smaller spring goes, on the right side of reservoirs under pin dowel I’m thinking.
What kind of oil is used in the

Think you might be talking about the centering spring. It's the smallest one on the right side of the shifter body. Look here at the parts breakdown on the gear selector for your model to give you an idea how things go.http://www.partzilla.com/parts/searc...ATV/parts.html 0w40,5w40 oil is fine to use. Fill to where the oil is barely covering the shift shafts.Don't over fill.

Thanks for the quick response Old Polaris
Ok so it goes in that little indent between the 2 bolts on right, correct?
I’m thinking it’s a common problem for the hard shifting in low, did some reading looks like lots of people have same problem.

You have two bullet detent springs(13) one centering spring #11 that fits in the groove on the right body side.
