My kids quad lost power last weekend in a trail. I have adjusted the tension screw and the transmission says its going into drive and reverse but there is no power to the wheels. Do I need to change out the automatic clutch?

 

If you have checked the chain is on, and splines etc are OK then yes, take a look at the clutch. However they don't usually let go altogether, but slip when climbing hills for a while.

 

Yes chain and splines are good. I can get it to go in reverse. But not won't go in drive. Is there a way to check clutch?

 

Don't know the Taotao 125 but I would guess the clutch is before the gearbox, so if you can get reverse, the clutch must be OK and the problem is in the gearbox, or the selector mechanism.
