Oil injection delete?

Oil injection delete?
I have a 1994 Polaris 400l sport. Oil injection pump has stopped working. I've been running premix gas. My question is do I have to delete the oil injection? I see delete kits for sale. I've disconnected the oil inlet off the Reed valve intake boot and plugged the hole in the boot. Any harm in leaving the oil injection pump on the machine? Thanks in advance for your replies.
