Default LT80 Rear Clutch Disassembly

I’ve got the rear clutch out of my quad, I have to replace the fixed drive plate sheave. The clutch is all torn down except the moving sheave is still attached. It seems to be held in place by some internal pins or something.... does anyone know how to separate these two? Thanks!

Right after the threads there is a cover. you grab that and get it to move/spin. It'll come right off. It would be like grabbing a twist throttle of you get my meaning.
Make sure you check the bearings. They go bad.
Did you get the new fixxed face yet?

Default Got it fixed

Yessir, turns out it was tack welded and that’s why it seemed like an unsolvable puzzle.... got it apart and all fixed up.

Got it running, drove like 3 miles then installed front brakes because they were completely absent. Went to fire it up and it refused to start—- checked compression and it’s putting out a “whopping” 30psi.

pulled off the head, there was blow-by all around the gasket. Cleaned it up and put a VERY thin sheen of high temp red silicone on either side of the gasket and torqued the head bolts to 115lbs/inch and added a new spark plug. It fired right up.... but it’s compression is still only 50psi. Thinking the top end is toast, but even still, this thing moves fast... it’s got the top speed sprocketing and a 2 stage reed setup. I’m 6’3/225, this thing easily goes 40. Wondering what it’ll do if it’s fixed right and dialed in?

That is unbelievably fast for an 80. I had an old Super Sherpa 250 that topped out at 73
